Some of our freshmen friends were roaming around, selling their brownies, which they baked for their THE subject. Jeanne bought me one, and then our kouhai started handing us slips of paper. Kind of like how a fortune cookie is like, although the slip isn't inside. XD Mine read:
"It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul."
I remembered reading that excerpt from a poem in our English class when I was still a junior. William Ernest Henley's Invictus. I think it's somehow accurate--especially during recent times, now that I'm often left to make choices for myself. Reminds me of college. Until now I'm still wondering how everything would turn out by the end of this school year.
