stuff
so, yesterday was kind of noteworthy...
had the big 'ole business/awards dinner thing. it went off flawlessly. got positive feedback about my awards program and corresponding powerpoint (yes, part of my job is making powerpoints... ugh). and the food was delicious... filet mignon medallions and a chicken breast, potatoes, and vegetables, and soup & salad courses, and dessert. I think I almost vomitted.
Then I met up w/Abby, Rana, Chris, Keenan, Abby's older brother, and a bunch of Erie House people at Louie's. Karaoke was hilarious as always. Rana requested that I sing Boys of Summer, and I butchered it. Hilarity ensued.
After Louie's we (of course) went to Estelle's. It was freakin' packed. I kept thinking about leaving, but people kept handing me rum & cokes (well, twice, but they were in pint glasses and tasted rather boozy). The Bike Messanger (from Abby & The Bike Messanger Incident) was there, and Keenan, Abby's brother, and I really wanted to kick his ass. It's probably a good thing that didn't happen.
Finally rode the el home. Whined to Kelsey about being miserable/hating my life. She pointed out that at least I like my job, which, technically, isn't really true. I don't HATE my job. If that translates into liking it, then I suppose she's right.
Waking up this morning wasn't the most pleasant experience, but wasn't too terrible. A shower, some oat meal, and an Energy Vitamin Water (thank you, 50 cent!), and I was set to go!
