It's time to trust my instincts, close my eyes, and leap
I saw Wicked at the Academy of Music on Friday, and it was every bit as spectacular as I'd hoped it would be!
The costumes were great, the pacing of humor (esp. by Glinda) was endearing and refreshing, and Defying Gravity sent shivers down my spine. That song is so, so inspiring - I listened to it on repeat-one while studying for one of my tests last year, and I swear, I had every impossibly-naive-conviction that I would ace it somehow. XD
Here's a video of the performance by Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, the original cast of Wicked on Broadway, at the Tony Awards. Tell me this doesn't give you the tiniest urge to just. fly.
