Hot guys do not redeem bad movies.

This morning I felt a little bit like Amelia Earhart as I took a solitary voyage to Nassau Inn, scouting out the place where, beginning tomorrow, I will be teaching a 17-or-so class of students preparing for the MCAT. Traffic wasn't as bad as I expected it to be, but on the way back I decided to take a different route and ended up finding myself ( Read more... )

xDDDD The *dreaded* Somerville Circle....where cars that enter... do not come out... dun dun dun ::X-files music::... new amusement park Haunted House theme, anyone? =P

And is Prince Caspian really that bad? Frankly, when you say much of the movie has no dialogue, I assume that there was violence and other action... so, shall we say a good movie? =D

As for the second movie... I looked at the pictures without reading your dis-recommendation, and I immediately agreed, hehe.

Lol, no seriously there're years of shattered glass clinging to the cement in that entire area o_O It's *actually* scary. XD

It's not terrible, like I'm sure you'd find it watchable, especially w/ all the fight scenes and whatnot, but frankly I thought it was a waste of time. And Prince Caspian wasn't even all that attractive :P

Haha, come on, don't you think he's got such a beautiful neck? ^^

Ooh, right, I think I know what you're speaking of. I'll look into it ^^

Did you like the first Narnia movie? Because if not, I doubt you'd like the second.

Was Kung fu panda voiced by Jack Black, by any chance?

Heh, I would never be able to guess Angelina Jolie's voice. I think I've only ever seen her in a total of 2 movies XD

And the twelve-step pyramid was on purpose! :P

Yeah I think the panda was voiced by Jack Black. Eeee I like that Asian boy! He is a cutie. The hair in the 3rd pic is a little extreme o_O I thought the first Narnia movie was awfull thus felt no incentive to see the 2nd. Sigh for ill-used eye-candy :(

He is, isn't he! ::beams as if she created him:: But alas for his acting-debut being so poor.

I only watched the 2nd because I thought Prince Caspian's story was more interesting and movie-makeable... guess not. XD

I actually liked Prince Caspian. The scenery was utterly fantastic, I thought there was more substance (compared to the first movie's 'omg we're in this really cool other world and we get to be heroes!!11!!1') and I did think Prince Caspian was good looking. Actually I thought the mouse was annoying. My only complaint was that it was a little on the long side and there wasn't enough Susan/Caspian build up and so the ending scene w/ them seems a little random. Oh, and the way they took out the ground in the last battle scene? That was freaking awesome. And I liked how there was the questioning of faith, the temptation of the white witch... etc

...although... I WAS also hoping the white witch would step into the scene to mix things up a little more.

::shrugs:: Idk. I thought it was a decent movie.

Haha, to each her own then. I agree with the lack of Susan/Caspian build-up being a little random, especially since I don't remember how it happened in the book all that well, so it completely caught me off guard when she kissed him. Also, what was w/ that really dark eye-makeup? :|

The scenery was good, granted, but I feel like there was a lot that they could've done w/ the storyline that they...didn't? Dunno. ^^;

That aside, how're you? How's your summer break been?

My summer has been alright. I went to New Orleans for a week to help rebuild. It's hard to believe how much still needs to be done after almost three years.. . it's really sad.

Other than that, not much. I am *supposed* to be working on a story but that hasn't been happening because I find it difficult to be motivated while at home.

How's your summer?

Haha, working on a story as well but also lacking motivation ^^; I've been busy, mostly, teaching a Kaplan MCAT class every other day and prepping the rest of the time. Are you free to hang out some time?
