Soooo I learn from my HMD's and Vegas needs to be a more active kid which means he needs plot and I have something of an idea.
He is, by nature, a criminal which means that he can also be something of a thief/thug. So...I was thinking that I could have Vegas steal something?
People by nature are forgetful right? Canonically this guy survived in an island prison for most of his life. He's good at taking things and has "instincts" (oh god, there is a terrible, TERRIBLE line where he's talking to his partner/girlfriend/prisonbitch and he says, "You're loosing your instincts, look at those hands. So soft. You can't do shit with those hands." NO JOKE.)
So I was thinking if one of you maybe were to volunteer an item (I'm not going to ask for a warden item.) or a communicator Vegas'd snatch it up and keep it for a bit until the person knew that it was missing. Then...an investigation could mount! We could get a couple of wardens who like investigative type things (holmes, I'm looking at you bro.) who could talk to people who were there when the item was stolen, and then question Vegas a bit. A search of his room would turn up said item, we all go home happy.
Ideally, this would last however long the investigative party wants it to last.
Here's what I'd need. And here's a little lesson in some cool policework! Basically we need all the elements of the crime triangle.
Victim. Suspect. Location (remove any of these and it's no longer a crime.)
Victim would be someone to steal from. It can be any item you have so long as it means something to your character. Honestly he can't steal the socks off your feet and if he did would you want them back? But like, a treasured thing, something you casually left. Obviously no comms but.
Suspects At least two people to be around said victim. We can assume this so long as people understand these guys are the suspects.
A location Up to said Victim but this should come off as obvious. Just where did the crime take place?
AN INVESTIGATOR we have. BATMAN. and several cops. And Sherlock Holmes. We could even have a team! (depending on the importance of the item to the victim)
So it'd go like this. Victim is careless/has item. Vegas for lack of something to do (and sort of revenge against his warden since she basically pwned him) would decide to be petulant and steal from said individual. Victim reports item missing (don't volunteer your communicator) wardens investigate, Vegas becomes suspect due to his proximity, rooms are searched, item found, Vegas goes to zero, people get mad at Vegas because their rooms were searched, we all get CR this turns into a run on sentence.
Thoughts? Plot ideas?
