I received this in my email today... thought I'd pass it on...
"Like many of you, I have been looking for ways to trim the fat in my budget. At one point, I seriously contemplated canceling my monthly partnership with one of the organizations my husband and I support. Then I received a letter in the mail from that very organization, asking me to increase my giving! I let the letter sit on my desk for a few days, unable to throw it away. There was a part of me that wanted to shrink back from giving, but faith rose up in me and I realized,
THIS IS NOT THE FAT!
It is the heart of the Father to care for those who are broken and downtrodden.

At Treasures, we see daily how the state of the economy has impacted the women we are working with. Girls are telling us that they are being coerced into doing “more” for less money, and out of desperation, they are caving. Many women who have left the industry are struggling to find employment. Some are so hopeless that they are tempted to return to sex work.
Now more than ever, these precious women need support, prayer, and encouragement. They need a voice in their lives speaking truth…reminding them to press on and seek God first, in spite of how dire their circumstances seem. They need to be reminded of their true value as loved-beyond-measure, daughters of THE KING.
Each time you give, you are partnering with us to demonstrate the heart of the Father and His undying love for those who feel lost and forgotten.
Because we keep the cost of our gift bags low and thanks to a matching grant provided by the Denver Foundation, a donation of just $10 can help us reach 10 women during a gift bag outreach. That is 10 women who will have an opportunity to hear about the love of her Heavenly Father.
A gift of $25 will enable us to send out care packages containing a bible, the new Treasures devotional and other resources to 6 women in order to encourage them in their faith and plant seeds of truth in their lives.
