Yesterday was a day of reckoning. A 22 year old girl has a misguided or should I say a unnutured brother that is 26. Within the last 8 months emotional events have occured seems as though bi-weekly and at times daily. With a month of pass outs to accidents to thefts to just plain ass missin. These events corrupted the family like weeds to a beautiful garden, slowly but surely. Her parents insist that you need to be here or "be there" for your brother. How do you hold a conversation with the China Wall if the wall can't hear or don't reply? Just as simple as that you can't and you don't. But she is constantly told that she is self-centered, a waste of time, and a "bitch" although not said but meant. She is totally confused with the line of questioning that she is giving by her parents, while she's over her best friends house.
"So why didn't you take your brother with you when you left the house?"said mom. "You go and pick up you cousin(who by the way is 15), and hang out with him. Why would you do that to him? You know he wanted to hang out with you."
Puzzled, she says, "I am over my friend Amanda's house, and we are over here talking. Paul just asked if he could ride with me and I said yes. Jay ain't never wanted to go over Amanda's house, and plus she is 21 why would I ask my grown ass brother to come along with his younger sister. NO now and I would still say no later. First of all the line of questioning is outrageous who ask those kind of questions to a grown ass person about another grown ass person. Just like everybody else, space and alone time is needed. But not in this family, it's like you're in a dictatorship and what is said is said, and what needs to be done needs to be done, and done pronto with a smile.
Shortly after hangin up with her mother her father calls her on her cell. "Why do you even come home? You should have just stayed where you were. You come home for some days and we only see you for some minutes to say hey and bye. All you're doin is wastin money." She says, "Well I'm on my way home and I'll be there in a minute." No no no you go ahead and stay where you're at I was just askin some questions her father states. Well momma just called me a minute ago and I'm on my way home...
Life is by no means like a box of chocolates, fuck what Forest Gump thinks. You might not know what your gonna get, but what you get ain't sweet and it sure ain't delightful. I guess that's why I hate chocolate.
At least my phone is back in commission, and I can talk to the people that care bout me and if they don't care they sure seem like they do.
