I haven't posted in a while. There are so. many. reasons. for this. I won't get into them too much but they basically boil down to: I was having a horrid last couple weeks of school in terms of my sanity; I try to avoid talking about my personal life too much on this journal and so, since everything was going on in my personal life and I'd put my

Make a post about the Mentalist! I'm always curious to see what other people have to say. I really like the Mentalist "fandom" and the fact that it's not crazy and that they post really think-y type posts. I mean, yeah, sometimes episodes are way over dissected, but the fact that people want to critically talk about it at all is a welcome relief from all the "ZOMG SUCH AND SUCH ACTOR IS SO HOTTTT" posts you might see in other fandoms. The Mentalist fans actually remind me a lot of The West Wing fans. But that's neither here nor there, really.
I've never liked Arthur/Gwen either. I think Bradley James and Angel Coulby have about the amount of on-screen chemistry that an apple and a watermelon sitting next to each other on a table have. And that is not bashing the actors. It's not meant to be at least. Sometimes even the best friendships don't come across very well when hidden behind characters and a camera. But I think even the writers of the show realize that there isn't much behind Arthur/Gwen...except the obligation to stick with that part of the Arthurian legends and the "safeness" of a het pairing on a major TV show. I don't get it though. It's not like they've stuck with the other aspects of the legend, nor is this the 1950s, soooo.....
Gah. Sherlock. I can't wait until next week.
I'm sorry you haven't gotten my card yet! I hope it comes soon. I was actually really surprised when I got yours as soon as I did. Haha. By the way, I seriously think that magnet is the cutest thing ever. I love it and I'm so glad you thought of me when you saw it.

The best season were S2 and 4 imo - "best" meaning great episodes, great development of the main storyline, great filler episodes too [My favourite episodes of all time are in S2 and 4]. But I think everything fell apart with the end of S5. Eric Kripke had a plan that he followed (with some changes of course here and there) thoughout the 5 seasons. In these 5 seasons he developed the story and he ended it. So now what we neede in S6 was a new plan. Not so long as the 5-seasons-long of course, but a plan anyway. Instead what they did was throwing FIFTY different storylines all together and just kept going without even knowing where exactly they wanted to go. EPIC FAIL.
I usually watch shows/films because I think they're interesting. Okay, well, not always. I watched The A-team a few days ago only because Bradley Cooper was particularly good looking in it, but it was a nice movie anyway :P
But for example I started watching White Collar because Matt Bomer is possilbly the most beautiful man on earth, but my favourite character is Tim DeKay's character :P
Anyway yes, I will write a post on The Mentalist because there are a few things I need to share with other people; I only have to put all the ideas together before posting it .
LOL. I think Bradley mostly idn't like the idea of the lovestory from the beginning. You can see it from how extremely NOT convincing his acting is! I mean, Bradley is a very good actor, but when he said he loved Gwen in S2 he was totally lying! I could be more convincing when I was 5 and I lied to my parents about not breaking something XD I think he and Angel have good chemistry now, so I think also the scenes onscreen are better. Still, I don't like them together so I just hope she'll disappear soon XD
Sherlock OMG, it was so awesome! I can't wait either!
I just hope your card will arrive to me before Easter :P
I was surprised too XD I'm glad you like the magnet! I thought of you immediately because you're the only person who speaks German I was sending a Holiday card to, and since I was looking for a little gift for you, the german magnet was just perfect :)

I don't think Bradley was all that interested in Gwen/Arthur either. Given the number of interviews in which he mentions how much stronger the bond is between Merlin/Arthur than Arthur/Gwen, I would definitely say there's proof of that. I do agree with you that the on-screen chemistry between Angel and him is much better now than it is in S2, but that said, it still doesn't carry across as well as Merlin/Arthur. They just freaking sizzle whenever they share the screen. Unf. :P Also, about Gwen/Arthur...idk. The legend is so big on the love triangle that includes Lancelot, but obviously the show took care of that, so I'm not really sure what it's trying to accomplish. Like, is it trying to say that Gwen/Arthur is now never going to be broken up? Or what? Wah. Just go away Gwen! Go back to being BFFs with everybody! You were sweet like that!
So about my holiday card. I will say that I had to send my little brother to be the one to mail it because of various transportation!fail we were having the day I was mailing everything. I mean, I sent him to the post office with very specific instructions on buying international stamps and stuff, and he swore when he got home that everything had gone smoothly. But if you don't get it, we can just blame him. ;) And then I'll send you another one. For Easter. Haha.
