Adventure Story!
Once upon a time (YESTERDAY) Kourtney and I began what we had no idea would soon become an adventure..
I told my friend Alex we would visit him at his work. Its called Danatoes and is a pizza place. [ not as good as sciarrinos though! ; ) ]
I knew he lived in Ridley and that Danatoes was near a Walmart. My mother drove Kourtney and I there. I was so positive that it was on McDade. My mother was in a hurry so once I saw the Walmart I told her to just let us off there. Me and Kourtney got out of the car and started walking.
All of a sudden I noticed we passed the Walmart. This was funny because usually you see Danatoes right in front of it. WE WENT TO THE WRONG WALMART! I looked around and saw a Wendy's with a redneck guy that worked there standing outside of it. Kourtney and I ran up to him and asked him where we were and how to get to the correct location of where Donatoes was. It turns out we were in Glenolden. However, his directions seemed really simple: GO TO THE CVS AND MAKE A RIGHT. THEN GO STRAIGHT UNTIL YOU SEE A RITE AID. TURN RIGHT AGAIN AND GO STRAIGHT DOWN CHESTER PIKE. He also told us it was a five minute car ride.
Kourtney and I walked. We walked, walked, and then walked some more. We didnt just walk though. We POWER walked. The entire time. Along the way we passed by some creepy people that would honk or slow down. It was scary. I was going to get a ride from a friend, but then I found out he was unavailable to come get us. This became a problem since Kourtney said she was only going to be gone for an hour. Soon we started to panic. How far was it? We had been walking on that single road for over 50 minutes. We had been through Glenolden, Norwood, Prospect Park, and Ridley. We later found out that the correct one was in Eddystone? After calling a couple people though we found out we were going the correct way. We also found out that we were able to get a ride home with Ashley Bensinger. [ THANKYOU HERPES! <3 ]
It had been bright out when we started walking, by the time we finally reached Danatoes it was pitch black out. We had speed walked over an hour and a half. When we got there we received our food and ate. Ashley met up with us and then we drove home.
What an unexpected event.
