Tina McCoy is a werewolf.

It's taken her most of the month to be able to say that in her head without crying. It's the next full moon night; she can't believe it's already been a month. A month as a werewolf.

The weird part is she feels like less of a monster and more like just plain her. Her friends don't think she's a monster. Cal doesn't think she's a monster. She's just Tina with a three-days-of-the-month logistical problem.

That doesn't make it all happy and shiny fun times, but it sure makes it not horrible. Tony made her one hell of a safe room, so she doesn't have to worry about getting out when she's all werewolfed. Her new job as a receptionist is amazing and also way more flexible than she'd ever dreamed a job could be. It's fabulous working in the day time. She managed to schedule her first semester classes only in the mornings, so when college starts she'll still be able to work afternoons. She may be tired during the daytime three days a month, but from what she's heard about college... that's pretty much the case for everyone every day.

She still hasn't told her mom. Maybe next month. That's going to be a hard thing.

So she and Cal are going away for a little "trip" again. She's waiting for Cal to come pick her up. Tonight she'll be a werewolf, but right now? She's Tina McCoy.
