People here don't know what allergies are. I have them because the wind is blowing and there's pollen and dust everywhere. Spring is in two days. You know me, I have allergies every year.
I went to the pharmacy and asked for "Claritin?" Nope. "Chlor-Trimeton?" Nope. Answer: "You have a cold!"
Me: Umm...no. I have allergies. It happens every Spring.
Pharmacist: You're allergic to Spring??
Me: No, I'm allergic to pollen and dust.
Him: What do you feel?
Me: Itchy throat, itchy ears, watery eyes.
Him: A little bit of mucus?
Me: Maybe a little.
Him: You have a cold.
Me: I don't have a cold. This happens every year.
Him: You have a cold every year. You can't be allergic to Spring.
Me: I have a cold? Really? A cold that causes itchiness?
Him: Did you wake up with a dry mouth this morning?
Me: I guess so.
Him: You breathe through your mouth when you sleep. The itchiness is your parched throat from breathing through your mouth all night.
Me: It's 4:00 in the afternoon. I've had plenty to drink since then.
Him: It's still recovering from you breathing through your mouth all night.
Me: Are you telling me I only breathe through my mouth when Spring is about to start?????
Him: Yes.
Me: (WTF???)
Him: Take these cold pills three times a day.
I snatched the pills up and threw my money at him. I'll try anything to get rid of this itching. But...no such luck with the stupid pills. I bought sour gummies hoping the sugar would scratch my throat on its way down. That seemed to help a little. hahahaha. I feel so helpless...
