Black Dahlia -- if the papers were calling her that, she wasn't objecting -- moved through the shadows of the alleyway. James Gordon would be arriving at his apartment building any time. Luckily, the building wasn't in the greatest neighborhood and the streets were already dimly lit. It would make getting his attention (and keeping hidden) easier.
She started counting to herself, wondering how long it would take.
This is crazy, Dalia thought to herself. She was asking for trouble. If anyone would guess her identity, surely James would...
That's why she had to do it, though. If he encountered her and didn't know it was her...no one else would guess. Except maybe her father. But she had no intention of running into him on the streets of Gotham, in costume.
