This is to record the most significant day in my life yet:

A black man is president.

I woke up this morning feeling like I was in a different country, a part of a different people. I will never forget Chicago where he stood on that stage and raised his hand; and all the people cried. I cried. The world can now see who we really are. They can see our poor communities, our students, our single mothers, our children, our hard working fathers... they can see our beautiful, diverse nation. I am so inspired, so happy that now minorites and whites alike have someone to look up to. This is a cultural revolution- and we did it.

Its nice to finally have hope back
