My immediate reaction was to recoil from my computer and yell "NO" as I saw which shows are on Blueray.

I don't even have a Blueray player! *needs one now*

It was seven years after they started producing shows on DVD before they stopped co-releasing them on VHS. I wouldn't worry too hard♥

I like their choice of shows for the Masterpiece Collection overall, but two Elisabeths? I know it's popular but the rest of the selection is such a mix that it seems a bit odd they didn't choose something else, maybe one of their other original shows...Not that it matters to me personally, since I have no Blueray player, but still.

Wow, I sound like I'm complaining here. I'm not complaining (I love Elisabeth), I was just pondering why they chose two versions of the same show.

This is going to sound very cynical of me, but probably for the same reason they stage it every two years: It sells. With a risky new medium like this, makes sense to stick one in each box set. XD

That's probably why. XD But I still think it's a bit of a shame they didn't include one of the older shows - or maybe one with Tom starring, since the rest are one from each troupe.
