I guess it's a matter of taste -- La Mariposa has been my favorite of her shows since she became a top star. ;) I think it gave her a chance to use a lot of the things otokoyaku work so hard to achieve in terms of body language and tone, the requisite romance and bromance, the angst.... 男役の美学♥
