Generic Musumeyaku Makeup Tutorial!

Oct 13, 2009 18:46

I love the Sienne's makeup so much~~ That I wanted to do a basic Musumeyaku tutorial for everyone here.

Finished result with flash.

1. put on your base makeup, covering blemishes. For Musumeyaku,
it's best to apply a white/pink base - so you appear more innocent.
For Otokoyaku, apply a more yellow or brown-tinted base. Men are generally
more tanned than women.

2. (point A) make a triangle or jelly-bean shape for your blusher in a
rosey/dark pink blusher. (point B) apply blusher around the top half
of your face outlining the hairline, dipping slightly in the middle to create an "m"
and joining the other blushered cheek. Blend all softly with fingertips.

3. Apply a matte white eyeshadow over your eyelid, beside the nose
and a little under the eye. This will be your base and to help create a
Japanese-to-Western look.

4. With a dusky rose matte shadow, make a curved line a little above
your eye socket, starting from the edge of your eyebrow, to the end of your eye.
Then join the shadow in a vertical line to your eyebrow.

5. work a little dark purple into the corner and sweep it along the
curved line. Do not make it too dark though!!

6. THE ALL IMPORTANT LINE! Depending on what look you are
going for, or which Sienne you are imitating, this line, as with the
blending of the shadow previously, this definitive line, can be more curved
towards the inner part of the eye, but for this tutorial, I have done it the standard way.

7. with the same dusky pink from earlier, on the outer third of your eye,
make the shadow join up as per the photo! This is to create the illusion
that your actual eye-crease is the purple line.

8. with eyeliner of your choice (I find the best either Gel Liner
or a Pen-eyeliner with a brush tip.) make a noticibly-thick line
on only the upper lid.

9. Add some mascara on top lashes ~

10. Add eyelashes! Best ones are not ones with "clumps" of lashes
as they look, well, like Carnival eyelashes. Though, again, depending
on the character or Sienne you are imitating, try to see what lashes
they have.

11. Define eyebrows with eyebrow pencil/liner/mascara

12. (point A) create a thin-nose look by running a steady line
of the purple eyeshadow from your eyebrow. Making sure there
is an even contour on both sides. (point B) smudge the shadow
down the sides of the bridge of your nose gently.
Add red lipstick!!

quick close-up without nose detail.

Last Night's try at it.

Miss Windisch I tried a while ago.
