The Zuka Life

Apr 11, 2007 11:09

You know Takarazuka has taken over your REAL life when...

1. You keep hearing "E-LI-SA-BETH... ima koso..." or "Onaji Sora Ni..." in your head..
2. You are seriously considering taking up opera singing and ballet classes...
3. You have separate windows for Youtube and LiveJournal on your desktop ALL THE TIME...
4. When you are supposed to be thinking ( Read more... )

"you know..." lists

14. You can no longer spell your own middle name correctly because it happens to be one letter off from a character in a Takarazuka show. (must remember to spell Elizabeth with a "z"! ><)

wahahaha.... so your name has been resounding in my head all this while... if this carries on, i suspect if I ever get a daughter she will have to be named "Elisabeth"

1. ROFL, I kept hearing "Yami ga Hirogaaaaaaruu" in my head, and the Othello section of Lighting in Daytime. My friend lilmizpiggy88 studied for her finals while listening to 'zuka, so she associated the formulas with the songs that kept on going through her head, and ended up remembering them for her test.
2. I tried to talk lilmizpiggy88 into thinking that she might have a chance of getting into the music school. She can dance, and even if I haven't heard her sing, there's some 'siennes that can't sing like Tani and Saeko3. I have 25 tabs open to Youtube profiles that have 'zuka clips I haven't watched yet. Another 5 that are also 'zuka related ( ... )

1. Oh yes, Yami ga Hirogaru is also one of the songs I keep hearing in my head, along with Saigo no Dansu so that explains why Hana's Elisabeth is at the top of my must-buy list, along with the soundtrack, so I can blast my room everyday... (I only own one cd right now, and that's Osa's latest single, which explains the "Onaji Sora Ni..")
2. I wished I could give it a shot at competing with 2,000 other girls for a place in Takarazuka Music School too but I am way past 15-18 years old :( With my height and my tomboyishness I think I would make a perfect otokoyaku.. they don't have even need to train me to behave like a guy...
4. Male-inspired fashion is all the rage now.. so I'm rather delighted..
9. I think I clock about 7-8 hours a day (about 4-5 hours at home after work, the rest while skiving at work) reading/looking at Zuka stuff now..
13. I've only been a Zuka fan for 3 weeks... :P

1. I actually hear Wao's crazying EEEEeeeEEEEEeeee singing (sports festi 2004) in my head at really random times.
2. I actually DO dance ballet, and I DID just sign up for an opera class at UCLA.
3. LJ, Youtube, AIM, MSN, and many many more programs (all zuka related)
4. Does Not Apply to me
5. Never thought of dressing in men's attire because I'm too fat and it'll look unflattering and ruin the hotness of otokoyakus in suits, etc.
6. Does Not Apply to me
7. Your sister tries to avoid you at home, because all you can talk about is Takarazuka... OMG THIS IS SOOO FREAKING TRUE
8. You trade viewing time with your sister... If I watch one clip of Nodame Cantabile, she has to watch one clip of Takarazuka... (Actually, for every time I help her with studying or with homework, she HAS to watch a clip of zuka)
9. I spend all my free time doing Zuka stuff in general, not only OSASA
10. I have trouble concentrating in school
11. I was never interested in shopping
12. I don't have friends in Japan

1. Haven't seen that yet.. though I quite like Wao... unfortunately she has already retired so there's not as much stuff for me to do about her compared to Osasa... live in the present, right? :) have you seen her latest CM for that Osaka bank or something like that? Very nice singing... but she and O-hana need to work out whether she wants to be more otoko or musume.. because that dress/pants suit thingy was just terrible...
2. Ahh, I wish I could do ballet but I've always been more inclined towards hip hop... and with my worsening knee joints, dancing might be out for me..
5. Actually if I want to look good in those suits, I might have to bind my boobs and bum... :P
10. Oh no, what the heck am i doing here again...answering all the LJ comments... work! work! get to work!

OMG me too! I hated my dance classes so much when I was a kid (though that was partly because my teacher was evil, but mostly because I was a tomboy and ballet was too "girly") but I really really regret quitting now. I've actually started taking lessons again because of Takarazuka XD

i stopped learning to play the piano at Grade 3... :( but i don't really regret it that much since I always hated Theory... although would have been nice if I could now sing and play the piano at the same time or something..

Someone needs to keep a certain Osa/Asako fan in a mental institution because she is curently guilty of:

1. Writing and thinking about too much Osa/Asa slash fan fiction.

2. Clearing out the Hankyu store at a horrendous rate (just shopping-spreed yesterday and overspent)

3. Snatching YJA auction items from Japanese fans at an alarming rate, leaving no shinies not bidded on (there is still one very sore Asako fan who lost that double autographed Osa-Asako photo to me - I know it!)

4. Buying too many Osa, Asako and Yumiko postcards.

5. Buying too many Zuka things that financial breakdown is imminent.

6. Claims Osa on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; Asako on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; and Yumiko on Sundays (ok, whatever).

I wonder who is dangerous person on the loose is?
