Went to Luna Sea's Dual Arena Concert yesterday
First time in the new venue K-Arena Yokohama
They're still going back through their discography and cosplaying themselves for each album and making mindblowing cons out of it. I lost my shit last year for their Lunacy-days con and the con this year is for their Mother and Style album which are some of my favorites. Sugi opened the con with his three-pronged guitar and it was so magical.
But I was also THE DUMBASS that did *NOT* know that they didn't combine both albums in one Con, the 2-days arena con has 1 day for Mother and 1 day for Style and I only bought a ticket for the Mother one.
When I tell you my soul shrank.
For your information, the Style album has DESIRE in them. If that says anything at all.
Honestly it should say a lot.
I had a lottt of blast for the Mother album though. Inoran looked great, Sugizo was cheeky and hot flirting with the camera, he pirouetted on stage several times and it was adorable and stayed the longest on stage at the end. I do love him so.
By the second encore Ryuichi said WE CAN USE OUR CAMS in the con so now I am in possession of (shoddily taken) Luna Sea-approved con recordings of them! And I never thought that could ever happen.

The tail end of Mother where Sugi brought out his violin.
Mother was just- gorgeous to see live. Other songs just as gorgeous: FACE to FACE. BELIEVE. TRUE BLUE.
Ryuichi sounds great. It's amazing to think of how sick he was just a few years ago. I'm so glad he could recover. His voice is incredible, but Mother the album has a lot of challenging songs and in Mother (the song, since it was the end of the con) there were parts where Ryuichi was struggling, and you can see Sugi in his violin like willing him to like 頑張れ! I think that's why by Wish, the song Luna Sea always closes Cons with, after Sugi was done with his guitar solo he kissed Ryuchi on his head like a You did great.
And I CAUGHT IT ON CAM.

The con was 3 hours with 20 min intermission so 2 hours 40 in length and he's doing it again today (it's currently 6 PM on Sunday, Oct 8, so they just started some mere minutes ago.)
My STYLE.... I'll forever be regretting this, I can feel it in my bones.
This was the setlist (the ending song was actually Wish instead of Mother though. I should remember).
