I went to the Please Save My Earth exhibition to practice not crying in public

And I managed to succeed!

It was actually a Hiwatari Saki-sensei 40th debut anniversary exhibition, but of course, my focus was on Please Save My Earth.

We weren't allowed pics on the exhibits, unfortunately. I debated so so hard buying copies of sensei's genkou, but I can't even get it framed or display it properly rn so I thought I better not. I bought other stuff instead, the no-brainer being the artbook

Watching Shi=on and Moku=ren so happy makes me wanna cry. I wish nothing but light and warmth for these two.

I also bought the kuji postcard, and was super happy to find out it was of Moku=ren's

I didn't know, but apparently, there are 2 continuation series of PSME, focusing on Rin and Alice's son Ren, a renzoku that's continued to as recent as 2021. I'm gonna look them up on my Renta and see if I can read them. Sensei's art style has changed a lot since the 80s/90s though and hmmm I can't say I like it better than the old one

(This is the same issue that I have with Ariyoshi Kyouko-sensei, but I think Hiwatari-sensei actually changed even MORE drastically)
