My plans for a career in adult film have sadly been destroyed because I GOT A JOB!!! I can't tell you how happy I am, and what a difference it's made just knowing that I have an offer. It's like suddenly I want to do things again! So I did laundry, and sorted through some cupboards, and told everyone everywhere I had got a job. It's going to be a big challenge and a lot of work but it was MEANT TO BE! But I have to thank my dearest son, reppu, for all her awesome advice and encouragement. Apparently going in there ridiculously over-confident and concise is the way to go! ♥

Now, in other news, a quick round-up of two new shows I've been following:

The Fades: Absolutely loved it. Creepy, disturbing, great characters. It was shocking and at the same time fulfilling.

Grimm: I'm really enjoying this. It's very much the kind of thing I like. At first I thought the main character was annoying but I'm warming up to him. And his TWO sidekicks. I sense potential.

And as to old shows:

Castle: Somehow, you still make me watch you. And sometimes you manage to be really good. Weird.

Supernatural: This would have been positive, except the last episode made me ill. I'm pretending it never happened and moving on to the next. Swiftly.

And finally:

Merlin: FUCKING HELL HOW DID YOU GET SO GOOD?! Knight orgies, good, solid stories, and Merlin tearing up in every. Single. Episode. Hurt/comfort to wallow in. It has EVERYTHING. It feels like the first time, as they say. :D

As to things that have been happening since I last updated, I will summarise through the medium of photos:

Starting with dead and dying gingerbread men from October's Merlin meet up...

Created by us. Eaten by us.

I had an exciting time at Asylum 7 as many of you will know, stalking people, crashing parties. I took only one photo, because I like to let everyone take pretty pictures whilst I stare lovingly. Appropriately, it shows my preparatory Asylum shopping...

Highlight of the weekend: Julian Richings. All the time. Being beautiful and talking about how Death has a soft spot for Dean. A lot. But mostly we did a coffee lounge with him, which was the first time we'd done one, and it was very entertaining. And beautiful. and there was tea, too.

At some point I went home to visit my mum and it was a gorgeous weekend and we visited Castle Combe which is very close to where she lives. It wasdisturbingly pretty.

Kind of like a cliche English village from a horror film where all the inhabitants practice cannibalism.

Unrelatedly, I was in Chinatown and found some Ocean Angel Calamari. I'm not sure why this is intensely entertaining,it just is.

It's been a really busy few weeks with people visiting. Got to hang out with thehoyden and reppu again at the British Museum, at Westminster Cathedral and all over the place.

Last weekend two old friends from Aizu came to visit and we were predictably drunk by six o'clock. The following day, of course, I had a murder mystery party with the Merlin crowd where my character had ahomicidal anarchist sock.

The weekend was topped off by finally getting an alien related question at the British Museum. He seemed to thing the sphinx was built on marshland. I ranted extensively to the poor unfortunate Merlin ppls. Somehow, I had a feeling this was going to happen.

That leads us back to today, where I heard about the job, and have been bouncing off walls every since. Thanks to everyone who sent their love and kept me sane during the past few months and NOW I AM WRITING ALL THE THINGS WITH GREAT JOY! ♥

i have a life but it's a bit tragic, old men are hot, pimpin, obsession du jour
