Fantastic Friday, full of hip flasks, China town food, beer, pre-ordered interval wine, and the wonderful play
The Secret of Sherlock Holmes. As this reviewer says, the set was beautiful, and I thought the actors who played Holmes and Watson were very good. It had me smiling like a loon through most of it, and the revelation of the second half was intriguing, and not something I had ever thought of before but was entirely too possible. It was also slashy as hell.
This play has certainly helped me overcome the trauma of having seen
The Comedians last year.
Sunday was also a joyous day, if you can call going to Ikea joyous. Which I, apparently, can. Most of the joy comes from having finally achieved my two-year-long epic search for port glasses. I also bought hangers and cushions and felt very old. Appropriately, considering that particular birthday coming up which I'm trying to ignore.
On to fandom things, editing continues in a painful, epic fashion. Writing continues in much the same way. I am a masochist and signed up for the
sherlockbigbang.
unoshot wrote me fic, and
I am glad to see that Merlin fandom now comes with 100% more cute tentacles art. To those still waiting on fics from
my previous post, fear not! I will write them, once I have a spare five minutes! (Which is not looking likely about now, but oh well...)
Finally, Russian Sherlock Holmes. You are a thing of extraordinary hilarity and beauty. I salute you.
