Quick weekend recap:
Saturday was spent at London MCM Expo. It involved a lot of queuing, but was pretty fun. There were a lot of very impressive cosplayers, particularly
these and
this gorgeous Fifth Doctor, who I couldn't help but stalk.
Me and Five. Like it should be. Ealier, she had tipped her hat as we passed her and we squeed and cried, "OMFG FIVE!"
The Merlin panel was very big and very difficult to hear, but not too traumatising. Only a couple of inappropriate questions, so I call that a win.
On Monday,
cienna and I went to the Milton Keynes Collectormania. And wow that wasn't so fun. It was cold and outdoors and I really feel sorry for the guests. We had to wait half an hour whilst Joe Flanigan was off playing with his iPad somewhere, but that's okay because it was quite funny and he was cute and chatty. We ran away after buying a Castiel mug and badges for Lee because we could no longer feel our toes and were desperate for a good cup of tea. Not that we actually found one or anything. I won't recount how I left the mug in a sandwich shop and we had to go back for it.
Following the weekend, I've been attending a very posh showcase over by Trafalgar Square these last two days (see my amazing vagueness). The pastries were extraodinary, and I think I was even pretty good at my job. At least this time I managed to stay sober. But it was 8am so that might have had something to do with it.
We had a talk from some supposedly famous rich woman who I'd never heard of, but some of the others fawned over. This was strange but interesting, considering how I like to fawn over certain actors. I was spared the horror of talking about handbags.
The other speakers were at least informative and more industry-related and holy shit I think I just talked about my work seriously. Need to stop that crap right now.
I am possibly addicted to apples.
