Well, I suppose I'll give that template a shot. Here goes nothing:
Recent Happenings:
I had a strange dream last night where I was going back to high school to take more classes. When the day ended and I had finished dealing with several bitchy blonds and the hatred of a few of my real-life former friends, I scrambled around to my bus and grabbed a seat by a guy with whom I was somewhat acquainted. He reminded me of this friendly but mildly annoying and sarcastic person I used to sit by in my chem class.
We drove on for hours and hours before it occurred to me that I had no idea which bus stop was the one I needed to get off at. I got off at a random spot just to stretch my legs a bit while the bus was refueling, and the guy followed me. We seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, at a Japanese shrine surrounding an ancient, sacred tree. We remarked at how beautiful the shrine was and I ran my fingers along a lacquered wooden beam before I looked over and saw the bus had left without us. That damn bus driver hadn't liked me for whatever reason. My sidekick told me that we were two hundred miles from where we were supposed to be, and that we would have to walk the whole way. Needless to say, I wasn't pleased.
He and I trekked for quite awhile and finally came across a slum town where he had some relatives. When we went in to visit, they were lounging on a bed eating summer sausage which was served to them by a tiny pixie. I was a bit weirded out by the whole thing, so I grabbed a salad, added some fruit and cheese, stole a bike, and flew off down a dark alleyway. And then I woke up.
My father was preparing for chess club as I stumbled out, and yet again, couldn't find his black hat. I spent a good few minutes trying to hunt it up before he found it himself; we had a brief conversation about my niece and nephew and he left. Since then, I've played some Pokemon Blue, stared at the snowm falling outside, and worked on an internet journal entry. Which brings us up to the present.
Currently Thinking:
Damn, I was supposed to go out today and procure some school records so I can get registered for the ACT. But the snow is keeping me from walking there... It is pretty, though. Just really cold and squishy. I like it better when there's bigger snowflakes that flurry around you like you're in a giant snowglobe and some superior being is shaking the shit out of it. It was like that the other day when I got back from the mall, and I thought it was more like a dream than my dreams are. I wanted to take a walk right then, but I was wearing a skirt and it was windy cold. ...Is this just a tad stream-of-consciousness?
Currently Working On:
There will possibly be a new storgy (round robin story) between me and the girls (that is, "Freya" and her two sisters), although we haven't settled on a title yet. I suggested "Entropy" or "Grand Guignol," while the girls gave me a few very interesting selections like "Orange Juice," "Spots of Time," and "Autumn Void." I'm afraid they were taking a bit too seriously at first. XD Storgies should be fun.
Currently Playing:
Pokemon Blue. I had to hunt through Viridian Forest FOREVER to get my damn pikachu, but I'm going to need it for the Cerulean Gym since my starter is a squirtle. I started on this yesterday since I finished Super Mario World to the perfection for the third time in as many months. I needed something different to do. I might have another shot at Japanese FFIV DS sometime soon.
Currently Reading:
"A Little Princess," by Francis Hodgson Burnett. I don't care if I'm twenty years old and I've read that book a million times. It never gets old. It's warm and enchanting and beautiful. The movie has a happier ending though. *sniff*
Currently Watching:
Big Bang Theory. It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be, and my mom and I marathoned the first season for three days straight. XD
Well, that was that. At least it was more informative than other recent entries. Lest my father get back from chess club and steal the compy while I'm still writing, I'll get going now.
