checked out john legend's website www.johnlegend.com for some free song samples before i get the cd... over the election period, he had a pretty long journal post concerning why he prefers kerry over bush... pretty weird/risky to see an emerging artist put himself out there like that. well, i don't check out journals of music artists in general, so maybe they do alot of that politicking. hehe.

been too busy to read all of kil ja kim's stuff... working through it gradually though. so far, i've pieced together that she's a korean/black adoptee. the reason i'm focusing on her writings, is her position that a "typical" asian-american is anti-black... controversial, yes, but an issue that needs to be discussed/refuted. disagreement only makes us stronger. to be continued on this.
