I understand...however, I've been nothing but sympathetic and in control for the past year. I just can't let people who take advantage of that in my life anymore so I had to "fire my cannons" per say. I'm done with it now though. It hasn't phased me.

Personally I'm much more in the school of crushing this kid's spirit if he doesn't get the point after several attempts. Bluntness has its distinct advantages, whether of the verbal or bat varieties.
