Good bye my dear monitor for you are sick and will soon die.

My monitor is dieing after only 2 years. I never had one last such a short time before. For a while it was giving an odd high pitch noise when ever the screen was on, then today it kept going blank. I turn it off and back on and half a second latter it goes blank again.

I turned it off and let it sit for half an hour thinking that maybe it was over heated. it's on now but it's flickering allot, mostly on the left side. I think the backlight is giving out.

When I bought this monitor 2 years ago, I was very happy with it, but I never thought to look at what kind of back light it had. It was on sale and a very good deal in my opinion. 10,000 to 1 contrast ratio, 2 millisecond response time, 1680X1050.

I made my order for another monitor that will be delivered on the 21st to my workplace. I'm hoping it won't be much later then that so I can play Civilization V. If I have enough money to get it that is.

This is what I'm getting:

It better then my current on, except for the response time. I guess I'll find out how much of a difference there is when I play my games or watch movies.

I'm going to go rest for a while. Looking at this monitor is making my eyes hurt really bad and giving me a head ache.
