What do you get when you take 90% of the technical talent of Dream Theater, give it to people who aren't uninspired douches, and who listen to a lot of Queensryche and Symphony X? Fates Warning. I'm not going to claim they're my new favorite band, but they're certainly nice to listen to if you like any of the other artists I mentioned above, or progressive metal in general.
In other news, I think I'm getting burnt out on LJ. By the way, that's completely separate from the fact that I hate where the company is going--I'm just not as enthused about it as a method of communication as I used to be. I'm not taking an official hiatus or anything; besides, I post infrequently enough that it might not actually be noticeable if I did. Just don't be surprised if you write a post that you think I'd get a kick out of and I happen to never read it. My friends page is just too long to care about sometimes.
