A few years ago I had a minor op done, very minor. Infact my local GP did it with tools he had lying around. It was to correct a ingrown toe nail, so no wonderful stories to tell about near death experiences. But I did walk like a tard for a few hours.
Anyway thanks to genetics, biology or what ever the damn toe nail has corrected the correction the doctor mad. Ergo it has re-ingrown.
Now my Dr being the only one in town and one of few in the country that believe humans rely too much on drugs and operations insists that I don't need the operation. He claims that with regular trimming in the correct fashion it will cause only minor problems. So to prove him wrong I've stopped cutting my toe nails, well actually just the right big toe (the ingrown one). The sad side effect is that I now have a shooting pain button located on the end of my foot. Sounds harmless enough, right?, well no. You don't really understand how often you kick your foot or bump your toe on things; until it has a sensitive pain button.
Now thats not so bad right, it the price of trying to prove someone who is overly qualified wrong. But the Worried part is that lately I have started to stub my toe or tap my foot to cause a shooting pain.
Your in a boring conversation and you would rather a shooting pain then be bored to death, well just so happens I have that ability.
A boring lecture of Developmental psychology... Shooting pain time. Nothing better to do at 3:30pm while your waiting for your late lunch... shooting pain time. Does that make me a freak or should I look into S&M clubs?
