I loved this episode! So shippy! Plus another knight of the round table, yay!!! Everyone that we have met so far is fucking hot! I want to live in Camelot for all the hotties, even if it is a silly place...
Arthur:You know what you need after a hard day's hunt?
Merlin:Sleep.
Arthur:A nice cold tankard of mead
Is it bad that I automatically thought of The Lord of the Rings when Arthur said that? I think not, but others might haha. I think its adorable that they go out hunting by themselves...we know what can happen in the woods...by the way, mead rocks. Okay well I have only had honey wine trying to pass itself off as mead, but that shit is good! I can drink a whole bottle by myself...god, that's a bad thing to admit...
Arthur:*Keep your eyes off my man, wench!*
Merlin:*Take that, Arthur! I am waaaaay more adorable than you will ever be!*
Don't worry, Arthur. There are plenty of fangirls that would jump you in a split second (including myself). Who else enjoyed jealous!Arthur? That face was priceless, as was Merlin's. Can Colin get anymore adorable in this scene? Sometimes I don't know who I love more.
This is like a split second scene, but it shows how much Arthur cares about Merlin. While Arthur is in the middle of getting the shit beat out of him he makes sure that Merlin doesn't get hurt. That's love for you.
Gwaine:What am I doing in this bed?
I would now like to introduce you to this sexy ass motherfucker by the name of Gwaine. Even though we were not privileged to Bradley's chest in this episode, we were given the gift of this man's fine bod. Let us stare.
Merlin:Oh yeah, the melee, where you meat heads hit each other with sticks until you are knocked out. Woooo.
Arthur:No, it is where we defend our honor and stuff, but you aren't a meat head..I mean knight so you have no idea how much fun it is.
Merlin:I am not a big fan of getting hit in the head, so I am glad I don't belong.
Arthur:I hit you in the head all the time because you do belong and I love you, but you are only mine, so no one else will hit you in the head. Now go clean my stuff.
Merlin:Love hurts.
I base this off of Arthur's look at the end of this scene. It's kind of a flirty look after Merlin. Plus him being a prat is is way of saying "I love you" to Merlin.

Oh Gwen, I do adore you. We all know you belong with Lancelot, but I am totally shipping you with Gwaine right now. Angel has chemistry with pretty much everybody, except with Bradley...They totally have the friends vibe. I hope they get past that because forced chemistry is never fun to watch. Anyways I just like to include Gwen, because I love Angel and it was a funny scene. You go Gwen for not falling for his cheap lines!
Arthur:So, MERlin. Did you have fun with Gwaine last night?
Merlin:...um...I...it wasn't like that
Arthur:You know what happens when someone else claims you for the night
Merlin:Yeah...=(
...Gwaine:The whole army?? This is bullshit!!
I like how the pickled eggs were brought back haha. I enjoy watching in charge!Arthur. It's super sexy and he had a good reason for punishing them. I don't care who you are, that's a lot of money. Also, Merlin stands by Arthur's decision. Those two are so married. I didn't picspam it, but how hot is Arthur when he stands up for Gwaine? So sexy.
Merlin:You know those moments when I tell you something isn't a good idea?
Arthur:And then I ignore you. Yeah.
Merlin:And then I'm proved right
Arthur:Your concern for my well being is touching
Merlin:I'm serious. I think you should withdraw
Arthur:Look, I know you think that the melee is some kind of stupid game, but it's more than that. It's about proving to the people that I am fit to lead them.
Merlin:I know...just be careful.
The serious scenes between them are hands down my favorite moments in any episode. I feel like if this melee wasn't so important, Arthur would have listened to Merlin. Maybe it is just my shipper heart going crazy, but just the looks and understanding between them shows that. Merlin didn't fight it, because he knew he was getting through to Arthur, but nothing could be done about it.
I just like to mirror the boys, plus Bradley is sexy in armor.
The smiles they had after finding out Gwaine was there to save the day just killed me. Never stop smiling boys. We don't get to see Arthur smile a lot, do we? So unfair because his smile is beautiful.
Arthur:Merlin...
Merlin:Shut up
Arthur:You guessed it
I totally have the pictures out of order on here, but it is way more fun this way. I love how comfortable they are together and how Merlin and joke around with him about pretty much anything. Besides, I don't know why he is pining over Gwen when his true love is standing next to him. Someday he will learn. I can't wait until Arthur breaks all the rules. He is such a rebel...so sexy. I don't know what it is about this episode and my attraction to Bradley or is it Arthur I am attracted to. I can't decide. I'll take both. I want to see the bloopers from this scene. You can tell they were having a hard time keeping a straight face.
Arthur:C'mon, Merlin. Time to go to my chambers
Merlin:I will beat you there! *shoves Arthur*
Arthur:You will pay for that!
Merlin:You caught onto my plan...
Such a squee moment! They are so cute with the teasing and shoving and chasing...if you weren't shipping them before it would be hard not to ship them after that. They are so playful and full of fluffy moments. I'm sure there is a fic about what happened after this moment. I will have to look.
