T.G.I.F ..thought it would never come.
Today parents came home. Tis' all good, by the sounds of it they had an awesome time and promise to take me along one day to Tremblant. Mom learned to ski..finally. haha..and my dad was complaining that it took her 2 full days to actually learn how to ski. They got me a wolfie magnet souvenir, mind you it says "Canada"..and I kinda live in Canada but that's besides the point. It is a wolf!..XD
I was walking down the hallway today going to calculus and got the living daylights scared out of me. Mr. Brimble shouted my name when he was halfway through the bridge towards the math hallway..>_>..we were going in opposite directions and we did pass each other..I wasn't even aware he knew my name. He coached badminton when I was on the badminton team last year, and I didn't really expect him to remember me. Today was a bit odd b/c he asked why I wasn't doing badminton this year and of course I'm doing dragonboat. So he said "So? Dragonboat replacing badminton now?" heh...heh...heh..-____-..coaches aren't very fond of dragonboat..T_T...even Mrs. Hymers said something to that affect. Oi..but I'm sticking with dragonboat because it's excruiatingly painful BUT fun. XD
Tomorrow will be helping Bon dye her hair. From my own experiences of self-dying your own hair, having an extra pair of hands is vital. When I was dying my hair, I thought hell it should be easy. Mix that, shake this, slop it on hair, wait for a while and BAM~, all done!..I started off by myself and quickly found out that maybe doing it by my lonesome was not the smartest of ideas afterall. I was having a hard time trying to dye all of my hair..and I was dripping small blobs of dye everywhere on the WHITE tiles..T_T..My dad walks in at the right moment and just gives me an incredulous look. Ends up he had to help me with it, and when I had managed to get the dye all over he advised me to stand in the middle of the bathroom, touch nothing, and go nowhere for 25 minutes. HAHA..I offered to help clean up as I did manage to get dye in the sink, on the tiles and on the wall but I would be doing more harm than anything else. XDD..i love my daddy~<3!!
The "Pit Bull Problem Even though this is a stale issue that hasn't seen much light in a while, I found this video a few days ago and it's quite interesting. Pit bulls have been portrayed as vicious and agressive dogs because of a few maulings. Yes, the maulings were pretty bad but that doesn't mean the whole breed is bad. People kill other people, doesn't mean the WHOLE human race is evil. I think people have over exagerated this problem but on the other hand the public isn't really aware of the fact that certain people make a living off of pitting these dogs against each other. And you wonder why they are wary, and bad-tempered to humans? It's not just the pitbull fights that are a factor but every so often you get dogs with aggressive temperaments, not just pit bulls. Pit bulls aren't even rated the most highly likely to bite, if you can believe it Cockerspaniels and Labradors/Retrievers were studied to be most likely to bite. I've seen my share of dogs, and I don't really find the pitbull very intimidating compared to German Shepherds, Rottweilers, or other dogs used mainly for either their dominant behaviour.
I was actually ALMOST bitten by a rottie, when I was very young. In South Africa, having vicious, aggressive, and unfriendly dogs is common. My cousin and I were visitng her uncle's house and we saw a rottie chained to a tree. Looked okay, so we went running in excitement towards the dog. The dog obviously either saw us as a threat or got extremely excited as well, but either way it managed to break the metal chain tying it to the tree and came after us. In that moment, my cousin and I turned full around and ran the other way. I was only a bit ahead of her and the dog jumped on her instead of me biting her in the cheek and the butt. It was purely terrifying and we found out later that the dog was untrained and was picked for guard dog kinda job. Moral of the story is to never approach other dogs unless the owner says its okay or generally be a bit wary around strange dogs. I absolutely adore dogs..but ya know you always gotta be careful.
hmm..I'm babbling now..so i'll stop. ^^..
