[It's rather difficult to turn on the communicator when one suddenly finds himself with large paws instead of hands--among other things. He meant to turn on the voice function, but it seems he managed to get the video too and thus, you'll be seeing an image of a large, light-gray dog on screen:

It's just something to get used to, I'm afraid. I've had to get used to people calling me a pretty bird, the days I get turned into a parrot.

[And a moment later, what appears to be a griffin trots past the video as it circles around Rosella, then doubles back to peer at the screen.]

As far as curses go, at least it is not all that bad.

The animal ones rarely are. In some ways, they're even rather fun.

[She reaches over, stroking a hand down the griffin's neck as though she were petting a dog, then reaches up and ruffles his ears a little.]

It is, yes. Well, it is in a sense. He's my soul, and his name is Almeisan.

No, I'm afraid not. As I understand it, everyone has an animal of some sort, but the shape it takes has something to do with the sort of person you are. Almeisan is a griffin, and I once knew a boy who had a lion, and a friend of mine has a bird, and Cain's is a cat.

He does have quite the affinity for them, it seems. But so much the better for him. I wouldn't have wanted the shape of a cat, even if I was nearly a lion.

I believe he makes a very handsome cat when he is cursed into one. Certainly, my lord's soul is a fine cat as well. I wonder--

[He shakes his head, falling quiet. It's rude to speculate about himself but for some reason, it's harder to stop himself just saying what's on his mind. Dogs are rather blunt creatures, after all.]
