It's finally fall!!

My very favorite time of year!! The temps are falling (a bit-it was 86 degrees today), I have new cardigans to break in, and I can't wait to start wearing my fall clothes. Easily my favorite fashion time of year. Sadly, it's also my favorite sewing time of year, but I have neither the money for new supplies, nor the free time to sew. I do have a few things I can make with what I already have, if I decide to make time for fall fashion sewing.

I'm wanting to buy a bunch of flannel button-ups from the Goodwill, and I think we can splurge on those. I love plaid and flannel in the fall, and they will be great for breastfeeding. I can embrace my old grunge days and start wearing my Converse again, too. I'm starting to embrace my new short hair now, but I was hating it at first. You will not see pictures of it for a while, still, probably. I really miss my old hair, but I do love the ease of this short hair. I'm hoping that my return to grunge doesn't lead me to look too butch.

Harvest Homecoming will be soon, and I think we will try to go. If Marshall had just been born like he was supposed to, I wouldn't have been recouperated enough to walk around downtown eating baked potatoes and drinking cider. But I'm feeling pretty great, and I'm up to it now. I just hope Mr. Marshall can handle it. Maybe my mom will come over and watch him and we can go without him. Spare him the secondhand smoke and elbow-throwing crowds. Spare ourselves the prodding and fawning of a bunch of well-meaning strangers. People sure love babies.

It is also time for a trip to Huber's for cider and apples. We don't need to get any mini pumpkin gourds, since ours from last year sprouted into a giant plant in our yard. We have tons of them! That's something else we'll have to splurge on, but we can restrain ourselves. Just one quart of cider and half a dozen apples will do. Normally we buy huge sacks of apples and a couple gallons of cider, and then we do it all again before the season's over.

I may be alone in this here, but I'm super pumped for "Paris Hilton: My New BFF", starting Sept. 30 on MTV. I can't explain it, but I really love Paris Hilton. She's hot, I think she's a lot smarter than she lets on, she's funny, and her CD was amazing. Plus, I wanted to use my Paris Hilton tag again, haha. Oh, and the Jonas Bro's new CD is amazing. Now I can use my JB tag again, too.
