Too nervous to sleep. Again.
I've got three games coming up, in three weeks. The last two are away, in Madison and Des Moines. I'm just hella nervous. Also, I have to be on the radio tomorrow morning. That is also a little nerve wracking. I have an ugly voice, so I've tried to avoid radio appearances, but it's my turn. I dunno. Waiting on monies Government owes me so I can afford the gear that's gonna keep me in one piece this year. I'll just have to get lucky the first three games. I need knee pads that actually protect me, and not just lessen the blow. Falling on my knees -shouldn't- hurt. Need new skates too. Still undecided as to what I'm gonna get. I can blow around $500 on then so that should get me some decent ones. Hm. Derby is really all that's been going on life-wise since my last update in January. I kinda buried my stress and life in it. It's been rightfully distracting. Also: Comics. I <3 them.
Adam is trying not to feel upset over how involved I've been in derby and it's not totally working. We're getting in fights. I just wished he enjoyed it and supported me in it like the other derby spouses. He supports me enough, I just wished he could share or even understand my passion of the game. I just wish he would bother cheering at the games. He always looks so damn bored.
