New Job
I FINALLY FOUND A JOB!
YAHOOOOO!!!!!
Finally....
After 2 months of looking I manage to land a job that doesn't even require churning out a personalized cover letter (which I passionately hate now after writing over 80 of them). Someone I used to work with in Australia put my CV forward for a role in his company's UK office. I had no competition (thank freaking god), London companies are more open to hiring foreigners (Brum and Bristol ones aren't), and I freaking NAILED the interview on Thursday! I aced their test, I made nice with the CEO... it was the complete opposite of the most awful interview I've ever done (which was only last Friday). I'm going to earn over $10k more than I did in Australia, but that will probably be eaten up by high London costs and MORE TRAVELLING!! YEAH!!! I don't mind considering I really need any job I can get. Applying for so many jobs that you see repeatedly advertised, who never contact you even when you can DO the job and do a REALLY GOOD JOB.... gah! It's soul destroying!
Funnily enough, the two times I'm late for an interview, they still offer me a job 8-)
I'm going shopping tomorrow. And booking more travel from here to Jan, which is when I'm starting 8-)
