it's three o'clock and i am home from my parent's. my plan for this evening is to wash the bathroom walls and fill in the holes and cracks with this 'lightweight' spackling. i have no putty knives of the sort and i am substituting a butter knife. remember how i bought a shitonne of flatwear at a yard sale? no? well, i did. after cleaning it all i found i have almost three complete sets of silverwear now (along with several bottle opener/churchkeys and lots and lots of sharp little knives. ANYWAY i took one of the crappier knives and it was bendy enough and it works surprisingly well (i practice on some holes in my bedroom)
so yeah. to wash and fill holes this evening before it gets dark. so that's more than four hours GET WORKING LAZY TAIGA~!
edit 4:00 - washed the walls... corners, baseboards, above the door (ugh there were pubes up there. how the fuck does one get PUBIC HAIRS ON TOP THE DOORFRAME?) and the windowsil. tried to wash the window... the windows have this nifty feature where they tilt in for easy cleaning. i clean the window and guess what? the dirt is inside the two layers of glass. sealed. fail y/n? watching
TPI 2007 (really fricken good, btw.)
edit 4:50 - i actually finished the spackling twenty minutes ago. there are were a ton of holes. the cracks were a little harder but managable. the cracks were more easily done by hand.
edit 5:00 - omg there was this
huge fucking wasp in here (don't click if bees freak you out). this thing was at least two inches long. we don't get bees like that up this far north. at least we didn't before. i've seen one before, in the back hallway. this one was under my bookcase and seemed injured.
i managed to catch it by putting a cup over it. then i grabbed some stiff paper and slid it under the cup (between the floor and the bee). then i even put a book under it because i didn't want to get stung through the paper. i let it go out of the back window. it stumbled around on the roof a little and didn't fly, that's when i ran to get my camera. it was hard to get a good shot though because the sun was glaring and i couldn't see the shot through the viewscreen (damn you camera for no viewfind)
...fuck i hear another one
