(no subject)
Well, here I am in Chicago. Actually, scratch that. I am in Franklin Park, Illinois--which is this industrial suburbia surrounding ORD, (Chicago O'Hare International Airport.) I'm here for work, to pack up a facility which we closed on Friday. It's quite depressing really, knowing that I am discarding things which people had on their desks for years, and packing away the equipment they used everyday to do their jobs... But, the closure was long overdue, and it's good to know I'm getting it done and over with quickly.
So, while Chicago is nice-- and full of things to do; Franklin Park is not. And, even though I have a rental car, with my schedule here, I am not going to have time to drive into the city proper... which is unfortunate, because I wanted to do some shopping there... Oh well. I'm old, and sore from packing and moving so much crap today anyway... I'm taking a Motrin and heading to bed!!
