I mosied around Baen's website and noticed Harry Turtledove will be a guest at Conglomeration in Louisville, Kentucky. I don't know if any of my holmies in Ohio were going, but some might like to be aware.
Just watched last night an experimental dance performance put on by my school's dance department and the digital arts department. Hit and miss. Skilled dancers (all students), though.
1) When you have the dancer's movements affect the sound and light show, it really means nothing in a single performance if the audience has absolutely no sense of any correlation.
2) Hurting the audience's ears with loud and / or heavily discordant music does not win you friends or much repeat business.
3) Using two LCD projectors (one with the display plate turned 90 degrees) to do a 3D presentation is really neat.
4) Caterers who miss getting the food in place for the opening night intermission will be spending more time on the cycle of rebirth working of THAT karma, let me tell you.
Last night the imperfect scale said I was about a pound lighter. We shall see how well I do.
