Muppet Christmas Carol is one of our faves too!
So now I shall list one you forgot, Opus & Bill: A Wish For Wings That Work by Berkeley Breathed from 1991. Don't know where else it can be seen on TV lately but it can be seen on my TV at least once during the holiday season.
Bill the Cat horks up hairballs, Ronald Ann runs a support group for flightless birds, Truffles thinks he's a "Rhi-noss-er-rosss!" & Opus just wants to fly. Great animation & great voices too.

You covered a lot of great ones, Blake.
For some reason, The Nightmare Before Christmas has always been a Halloween movie for me. We used to put it on while waiting for the trick-or-treaters to show up. "This is Halloween, this is Halloween, la la la, la la la..."
You didn't mention The Santa Clause, but that's one of my traditional fav's to watch every year after Thanksgiving dinner, as a way of getting into the Christmas spirit.
I agree with you re: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Definitely the best of them all, although the first one comes a close second (IMHO). I think it's also the only one that didn't use the song "Holiday Road" in the beginning. Anyway, a few years back they showed it here on Australian TV on Christmas Day and my in-laws had never seen it...they killed themselves laughing and still talk about it to this day! Brilliant!

The Santa Clause -- not a bad one, but not one of my favorites. I've never even seen the sequel.

Almost forgot to mention: Bad Santa. Quickly becoming a classic for the "mature" crowd. *wink*
