I went to the midnight party for the last book. Being an adult, (hopefully,) I felt out of place so spent most of my time in Starbucks drinking expensive coffee and reading a book I purchased so I would have something to do. With the final book, I will preorder and signup early in the day. B & N lets you get in line at the registers in the order you sign up. (You get a cutsie little wrist band which denotes when you get in line to actually purchase your book.) It will be worth it to go to the bookstore the moment they open in the morning and get registered. You can then walk into the store at 11:59 pm and get right in line.
