Slowly getting ready for DC. Less than 2 weeks until my trip back home followed immediately by DC.
Got my suits fitted yesterday. Everything's good. I'm taking one sportcoat with me while the rest are being sent to the nearest Men's Wearhouse from where I'll be staying. If anything goes wrong, I have at least one suit.
Was asked by a coworker who saw some of my photographs to take pictures of one of her horses she is looking to sell. It's a quarter horse so I got some good action shots...as well as some unexpected surprises.
She was really pleased with what she saw of the preliminary shots, as was the stable owner. The stable owner wants me to come back next Sunday and my coworker is going to bring a friend who wanted to come today when she found out that I was going to be taking pictures.
...this is getting weird XD

Horse SessionIm honestly REALLY proud of this shot! Its one that I consider up there with my Trona Pinnacles pictures. I think it could be improved just that last step more with a little of the proper tweaking (namely making the center stand out a bit more). Otherwise, this shot has perfect composition and complementary subjects and colors.
Was going to take a picture of some flowers in this little garden while my friend got her horse all set up. I hear a humming noise and out pops this hummingbird not 3 feet from me!
It darts around a few times checking me out, then just goes back to feeding.
OMG! What an opportunity! Snap snap...damn! My ISO is set to 100! Too many button pushes to set it to auto. Moreover, the cameras autofocus had no chance of keeping up. I had to manually focus while this little speed demon darted around.
