Snowboarding, 2002 Style XD
This is me crashing off of the infamous Train Box Gap in the North Lake Tahoe Sierra mountains backcountry. This is basically a big concrete "cliff" that cuts through miles of the Sierra mountains in order to keep the snow off of trains that pass through them.
Conditions were TERRIBLE that day; refrozen warm day crusted packed powder that was really wind blown. The conditions were so bad that no one else was wiling to hit it. I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. It's difficult to tell, but everything around there was far to flat too land on safely. There was one small spot with enough downward slope to it to try and land safely on, but it was quite a ways from the cliff, so I had to go pretty fast. I landed right where I needed to...just not quite HOW I needed to, lol.
I walked away fine and it made for a nice crash in my segment of the video XD...so win win!
