I just read about this, it explains why MSG is so tasty! although bad for you, but tasty!

is MSG actually bad?

all the websites who say it is bad are citing a letter to the editor of a medical journal written in 1968...

On the other side of the coin, there are a whole lot of medical studies that can't find much of a problem with it. It's possible that salt is actually more dangerous.

You are right, there is no definitive evidence that MSG is bad. Whee more for me!

it's actually kind of crazy, in a google search I found about 20 sites saying how horrible MSG was...

but none of them actually had any medical research info

and only 2 sites that actually had research info (that's where the study that found salt was worse for you is)

Although it's funny that I got fooled by popular opinion on MSG even after I read the book, I blame my illness ;)
