Back, Darkness, Piano
Back is doing alright, pain still exists but it stopped getting worse and is slowly getting better I believe. No huge changes, but smalls steps.
Monday there was a car collision on 101 that shut off power in areas of Sunnyvale, including my company. So at 3pm, I was able to go home. I hope the car people are okay, of course, but it was awesome to have "school canceled" for a couple hours, especially on a Monday.
Have another personal hobbyist project. Making a player piano, half mechanical and half electronic. Due to my lack of programming skills, or at least minimal ones, I am doing nothing that involves touching a computer. Instead of a piano it is a keyboard, instead of vacuum valves it is photo-transistors, and still keeping the classic player piano paper roll. Kind of the opposite of when an electronic player piano is seen, usually is a real piano with a system running off either a midi program on a computer or a CD player. Gathering parts (ordered a player roll, purchasing keyboard today, and scoping out specs on transistors), will give updates, may Steam Punk it out afterward.
