I'm applying for a part time library page position with the City of Avondale. It's not exactly as high-level or as well-paying as I'd like, but it would be great as a sort of interim job until I find another. Just think...I could get my feet wet in the work world by working a few hours a week and thus be less likely to get shell-shocked when I do go full-time. I could work close to home, instead of having to drive for over an hour into Phoenix with my mom every day. And I could work with books. Oh! I loved being a library aide in high school--and I was relatively good at it (that is, when I wasn't killing time by *reading the books instead of shelving them--but I wouldn't do that if I was getting paid, of course.) This should be a piece of cake. I just hope and pray that I get it. It feels right.

Of course, I would be happy to get any one of the jobs I applied for in the Phoenix Union district, or any of the jobs that the boss at The Hired Pen would recommend me for. Those would be full-time, at least. But if I don't get them, I would be happy with this library page position for now. *crosses my fingers*

In other news, my aunt, uncle and cousin have been kind enough to offer to take me to Disneyland with them again! (You're never too old for Disneyland.) We're leaving the 13th and coming back the 16th. I can't wait! I hear they've even changed the oft-overlooked Tom Sawyer Island into a Pirate Island. Pirates! How cool is that? :D (I wonder if they're still using The Red Hot Chili Peppers for the soundtrack to Space Mountain and California Screamin'? I hope so. That was awesome.)

I just hope I find my camera by then. I've searched high and low. I think Becky took it with her to Oregon (she's there on vacation, herself.) I didn't give her permission to take it, of course! But I'd almost rather know that she has it (and will bring it back in one piece!) than know that I had somehow hopelessly lost my own expensive digital camera right before a trip to Disneyland, when I need it the most. My mom has a film-type camera that I can take, worse case scenario--but it's not the same. The digital camera is mine and I want it back. :(

Anyway...more news later.
