So a new year has now started. And what's new with me? I started a temporary job in December at a law firm in downtown Houston. Even though I'm grateful to be working again, I despise the commute to and from work. I was really spoiled with the shorter commute at my last job. Oh well. At least I'm only there Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I have class on Tuesday on Thursday, which actually started last week (the 17th). It's the second half of Anatomy & Physiology so I'm not really stoked about this semester. LOL. Hey, I'm just being honest. I'm even questioning my decision to pursue nursing altogether. As I've mentioned before (I think), it's always been a back and forth thing with me. I hate the idea of backing out now, but hell, if the right opportunity came along, I'd ditch backup plan B (law school was backup plan A). And yes, I said the same thing on my Facebook. Sue me.
Speaking of opportunities, I've been talking with a friend of mine about collaborating with her on a project of hers. Per her request, I'm not going into detail about it, but it's something she really wants to start up. I know she's been sitting on the sidelines waiting to make it happen; I believe this year she'll make that move. We've both talked about being our own bosses and how we're not molded for the corporate sector. For the record, I would LOVE to be a small business owner and/or entrepreneur. And I honestly think this collaboration may help steer me in the right direction. It's all about baby steps. As for the possible nursing gig, I'm not ruling it out just yet. Like I said, it's a backup plan. One of many. LOL.
