Tahariel’s Everyday Love in Stockholm, particularly the latest update » . Every update is cleverly encapsulated in a metaphor, or a motif, that consistently and gently clothes the plot for that update/chapter. This one was beautiful; I have a thing for hands/ fists/ hearts. I had to quickly draw it ‘this way’.
1.) Erik’s hand in an act of love, and (below), his hand in an act of violence.
2.) Charles, who is like the sea, swallowing Erik whole, moving away from the window in shadow (wonderful progression of drowning and uniting in the return-home scene, wow)
3.) Erik in the shower, choosing to ‘drown out’ his thoughts and what he thinks Charles is thinking.
Let go of your heart like you let go of your fist, Erik. Depending on how you let it fly, the blow will return to you if you wait for it.

I am totally in awe, here, not only because this is beautiful but also because you’ve picked up on something I love to do (play with imagery and metaphor) and made it into art, somehow, really capturing all the things I wanted to do with it. I adore the comparison of Erik’s two hands, especially, which may seem like an unusual choice of favourite (though all of it is utterly gorgeous), but it’s the way you’ve caught the mood of the two parts and implied so much through just his hands and -
There’s no way to say thank you enough, and to express how delighted I am. I would use a gif except that it can’t possibly put it across well enough. I LOVE YOU FOREVER.
