Aaaaand... we have internet!

Turns out my placement has wireless internet in the accommodation.

Obviously, this is TOTALLY AWESOME. But it also means that I have a lot more opportunity for procrastination, when I wanted to be writing The Night Tower and maybe even finishing or being nearly there.

So, AWESOME. But also GODDAMMIT.

Now I have to resist temptation! I am not good at resisting temptation!

Anyways, I will be in contact this week, unexpectedly :)

So today I spent the morning messing around not doing much and this afternoon caught a train from Reading to go to Torquay for my placement. At the station I then saw my ex-boss from the WHS days (about... two years ago?) waving someone off on the train before mine, and so I pretended I wasn't there because he was kind of a dick. And also a guy who looked like Monty Panassar, but I don't think it actually was him.

The journey was good. There was electricity on the train so I could write (about 700 words! Woo!) and it was quiet and I got to sit by myself the whole way. Then my placement partner Venard was getting in only ten minutes after me, so I just waited for him and we got a taxi to the hospital together. And now we're sitting in the flat in our respective rooms with the doors open, and our desks are parallel so we can chat and stuff while on the net. It's pretty good, actually :)
