All interesting and good conversation material. My only concern is that you don't give up meat completely, since it has a lot of protein and that's hard to get otherwise, as well as (w/beef) B-12. Or, you have to work harder at getting that protein source each day.

I can't help but approve of more veggies and so on. Interesting about the eczema, and that it is not really related to alcohol. Possibly, the association with alcohol could be that too much lowers your resistance. I think you are right that going back too soon into the foods you may have some (even mild) allergy to shocked your system and that most likely having a little of them in you every now and then helped provide a kind of immunity. I am a believer in not living too "pure" since we hardly live in a pure world and it appears that this might make the system too sensitive.

Any way, all interesting stuff. I've definitely cut way back on my beer consumption and I have worked out my own "plan" for continuing moderation. Dry now till St. Patrick's! I have indulged a bit here and there, but compared to my pattern before, I am drinking very little altogether. It is nice to feel clear, more like how I used to be! Before I got into the four or five days a week beer habit.

Oh, no worries. Gay is a huge carnivore. I still eat meat.

And congrats on your period of abstinence! It is good for you :)
