NCA and its Warehouse Era

Today, my mom was sorting through some boxes in the garage and found some of my old elementary school notebooks, so she gave them to me. One of them was a journal we were supposed to keep about our school day and such. But it was a little different because the journal was to our parents and they could write back if they wanted. They're kind of cute; I thought I'd share. Anyway, here's a sample of what life was like for me in elementary school:

Sample 1:

11-30-98

1 Homework, write spelling words 3xs.
2 Wed. Regge praise Chapel wear wild regge clothes over P.E. uniform.

Dear Mom,

Today we learned about mixed numbers in math. We also had english today. I have to finish my vocab. Today at recess, Sara and I played football with the boys. I can't wait till gymnastics. I could use the workout.

Love,
Taylor

Sample 2:

Free dress tomorrow. Economy & Tourism rough draft due. Bible verse quiz Know states and capitals

Dear Mom,

Chris fainted today. He held his breath too long. I have to finish my story for centers. We made broken hearts in art. Katie got hurt in recess.

Love,
Taylor

Yah. There you go. I had fun reading through them. Especially when I got to ones where I just got fed up with my mom not replying so I put "P.S. WRITE BACK" three times.

In recent news, ah who am I kidding, I'm boring.
