So, earlier this morning I cut small squares of paper and put names to each one, and started to crumple them up into paper balls in preparation for my cats to pick the winner of my charity raffle. Of course I had some helpers along the way...little Jackson was quite upset that I was making paper balls and not throwing them onto the floor immediately for him to play with. What's up with that?? He decided to come up onto my work table and kept trying to snatch one from the bowl in my lap...
Charles thought it would be helpful to sit on the slips of paper...
I felt a tug at my shirt....Deck was in the chair beside me trying to get to the bowl that way...
Noon-time rolled around, and Bil and I took the bowl of paper balls with the entrants names into the studio, along with a following of cats...
The idea was, the first paper ball to be batted off the red oriental rug would be the winner. The cats had different ideas though, and mostly just looked around at the paper balls for a while. Now why would I think my cats would follow any direction?? I know better than that!
Almost thought Charles was going to be the one to knock out the paper ball...
However, it was Dickens who eventually knocked the winning paper ball off the carpet! And, the winner of the 16x20 pet portrait is....
AMY JEHLE!!!!!
I decided since I got such a good response, to have the cats pick a second-place winner, that person to receive a custom pet rock portrait. This time, we gathered up all the remaining paper balls and put them back in the bowl, and let one of the cats pull out the winner. Poe ended up being the first to grab one out...
And Poe says the winner of the pet rock portrait is...
......MINNIE NEWMANN!!
Congratulations to Amy and Minnie, and a huge thank you to all who participated!! And the cats and people of Forgotten Felines thank you as well!!!
